By joining our association, you’ll gain access to comprehensive training, one-on-one evaluations and feedback, and the support needed to excel in amateur level baseball officiating. Become a part of our team and help shape the future of local baseball right here in Wyoming!

Becoming a 307 Umpire is simple! Follow the steps below to complete your registration and get ready for the season.

1. Complete the 307 Umpire Form

Start by completing our New Umpire Application. This gives us some basic information about you and your umpiring experience and helps us build a database containing all umpire information.

2. Create Your Assignr Account

Next, create your Assignr account and join 307 Umpires.

When creating your account, you may see End Line Officiating listed instead of 307 Umpires. Don't worry! End Line Officiating and 307 Umpires are operated by the same president, Allan Cummings, and both use Assignr to manage officials and game assignments.

Once your account is set up, you'll be able to receive game assignments and manage your officiating schedule through Assignr.

3. Pay Your 307 Umpires Membership Fee

The annual 307 Umpires membership fee is $100.

Wyoming American Legion Baseball has agreed to cover $50 of the fee for each umpire, so your cost is $50.

Payment will be completed through Assignr during registration.

Your membership fee helps support:

• Umpire training and development

• Umpire resources

• Association equipment and gear

• Other costs associated with running the association, including snacks and drinks, food, etc.

Your membership also includes an official 307 Umpires hat.

4. Complete Your American Legion Background Check

Because we officiate American Legion Baseball, all umpires must complete an American Legion background check.

Cost: $36 - This cost is not covered by 307 Umpires

5. Register with USA Baseball

Finally, register with USA Baseball.

Once registered, complete the required:

• Abuse Awareness for Adults training

• USA Baseball Umpire Certification courses

These requirements must be completed before you are eligible to officiate American Legion Baseball games.

6. Get Your Umpire Gear

You'll need the appropriate equipment to work games. You may purchase your own gear or use equipment you already have.

Required equipment includes:

• Black umpire shoes

• Charcoal gray umpire pants

• Umpire shirts (variety of colors is best)

• Black belt

• Chest protector

• Umpire mask

• Shin guards

• Ball bag

• Indicator

• Umpire brush

• Throat protector (recommended)

Ump-Attire is a reliable source for umpire equipment.
